It's easy, fast and fun for you to make the very same balanced, whole food for your dog that we make in our JFFD kitchen.  Simply buy the fresh ingredients at your local market, follow the basic cooking instructions, add in our premixed nutrient blend and in no time you have plenty of fresh, perfectly balanced, homemade dog food. No chef skills are required and one short session in your kitchen will feed your dog for days or even weeks depending on their size. Step 1: JustShop

The JustFoodForDogs DIY kit contains an easy to follow cooking guide that lists all of the fresh ingredients you will need. Many local markets carry everything required for the recipe but if something like liver is not on the shelf, you can ask your butcher and he may have it behind the counter or can order it for you. Please go to any of our DIY product pages shown below and you can download all the cooking guides for free before deciding which DIY kit to purchase.

Step 2: JustChop

Once you've decided how much food you want to cook (you have the option of making 10, 20 or 30 pounds of food per DIY kit), weigh and wash your vegetables, break out your favorite knife and chop. It's really that simple. Whether your dog is large, small or somewhere in between, you have the ability to dice the food to perfectly suit your dog's needs.

Step 3: JustCook

To cook the best food for your dog, you will only need one large skillet to get the job done (and one oven if you are making the fish). Cook the ground meat until about half done (or bake the fish until fully done) then add in the chopped vegetables. A short time later both the meat and the vegetables will be fully cooked at the same time.

Step 4: JustMix

Once your food is cool to the touch, add the appropriate amount of DIY blend for your recipe (1 packet for 10 pounds, 2 for 20, etc.). Mix it thoroughly with the meat and vegetables and you are practically done.

Step 5: JustPackage

There are absolutely no preservatives in our DIY recipes and nutrient blends so your fresh homemade food will last in the refrigerator for 4-5 days (the fish recipe 3-4 days). If your dog doesn't eat this much, we suggest you package the food into sealed baggies in daily or meal-sized portions and place it in your freezer where it will be stay fresh-frozen for several months.

Step 6: JustServe

Whether you're serving immediately after cooking, from the refrigerator or freezer, you can serve cold, at room temperature or warmed.  If you're pulling the food from the freezer, thaw it in the refrigerator or under running water and viola, every day you have fresh food for your pooch.
It's an immedate and simple routine...
Freezer. Refrigerator. Bowl.
Freezer. Refrigerator. Bowl.
It doesn't get any better
or easier than this.
