Each 7 oz package contains approximately .75 - 1 cup of food and each 18 oz package contains 2 - 2.5 cups of food depending on the recipe and temperature (product is cooked fresh, vac-sealed and delivered frozen). Pacific Cod
Pacific cod is an excellent source of low calorie protein and a good source of omega 3 fatty acids, niacin, vitamin B-12 & B-6, potassium, phosphorus and selenium. A healthy diet that contains easily digestible EFA's, like those in fish, help contribute to a a healthy, shiny coat.
Tilapia
Tilapia is a high protein, low fat, low sodium fish that is an excellent source of omega 6 fatty acids, niacin, potassium, phosphorus and vitamin B-12. According to the FDA, tilapia contains the lowest mercury levels of all edible ocean fish.
Sweet Potato
Sweet potatoes contain a unique root storage protein that have significant antioxidant capabilities and are an excellent source of vitamin A and a very good source of vitamin C and manganese. Sweet potatoes for dogs are also high in beta-caratine and a good source of copper, dietary fiber, Vitamin B6, potassium and iron.
Potato
Potatoes are high in potassium and contain substantial amounts of vitamins C and B6. They are also a good source of niacin, fiber, magnesium iron and thiamin. Potatoes for dogs are cleaned and cooked with the skins on in order to preserve the maximum nutritional value.
Green Beans
Green beans are rich in vitamin K, riboflavin, copper, omega-3 fatty acids and niacin. Green beans for dogs are also a good source for dietary fiber, phosphorous and protein.
Broccoli
Broccoli is an excellent source of the vitamins K, C and A as well as folate and fiber. Broccoli for dogs is also a good source of phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and the vitamins B6 and E.
Olive Oil
Olive oil is a concentrated source of monounsaturated fats and vitamin E. It also contains phytonutrients which have antioxidant properties.
Safflower Oil
Safflower oil contains essential omega-6 fatty acids which, via prostaglandins, strengthen cell membranes and regulate every function in the body at the molecular level. Canola oil for dogs is both more common as well as more affordable than safflower oil but given the controversy surrounding canola oil and the superiority of safflower oil for dogs we believe the expense is justified.
Multi-Vitamin & Mineral Blend
We produce a custom blend of minerals and vitamins for dogs specifically for our premium dog food and include it within each recipe. Every ingredient within this blend, without exception, is approved for human consumption. This is important because only premium, human consumable vitamins and minerals can provide the proper ratio of micro and macronutrients to help maximize the use of protein, carbohydrates and fats for your healthy dog. Minerals for dogs aid in the development of dog bone, teeth and cartilage; they also regulate blood and serve as a catalyst in enzyme and hormone systems. Vitamins for dogs play a significant roll in DNA synthesis, normal eye function, blood clotting, amino acid and protein metabolism and nerve impulse transduction, as well as other functions.
Salt
Salt, a combination of sodium and chloride, maintains fluid balance in and out of every cell in the body. Sodium aids in the transfer of nutrients to cells as well as maintains the balance of water in the tissues and organs. Chloride is required for the production of hydrochloric acid (HCI) in the stomach, which aids in the digestion of protein.
