In our ongoing efforts to advocate for canine health and wellness, we did something new and special this past holiday season. We raised both funds and awareness for the thousands of dogs that need homes by sponsoring the “The JFFD Parade Pack” in the 2013 Hollywood Christmas Parade.
At 6 pm on December 1st 175,000 people lined up and cheered for these dogs along the 1.5 mile parade route. It was a lot of fun and the event will was broadcast to millions of homes nationally on the Hallmark Channel and locally on KTLA (They even let our Founder, Shawn Buckley say a few words on TV!)
“The Pack” was made up of two dozen dogs and volunteers from a handful of Southern California based rescue organizations as well a number of our own staff.
On Thursday January 9th from 5pm to 8pm we’re concluding our campaign with a “wrap” party at our WeHo kitchen at which we will be donating $12,000 to the rescues that participated in the parade. So if you’re in the neighborhood and just need something fun to do with your dog, please join us at the kitchen.
JustThanks to our friends who have helped us help the dogs…
